OSX Mavericks 10.9.5

My system is OSX Mavericks 10.9.5:

I have installed Keyman 14.0, but it seems no working for older versions under Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10). (it doesn’t detect any keyboards)

Can you indicate, please, which older version of Keyman was working with OSX Mavericks 10.9.5 https://help.keyman.com/products/mac/version-history/ and where I can download it?

Thanks

I happen to have OS X 10.9.5 installed on my old Mac and just tested it.

You’ll need to follow the uninstall instructions here to uninstall version 14: Uninstalling Keyman

You may need to restart after uninstalling.

Then, you can install version 13 from here: https://downloads.keyman.com/mac/stable/13.0.101/keyman-13.0.101.dmg

This actually automatically installs version 12, which seems to be the latest version that works with Mavericks. But v12 didn’t have an automatic installer, which is why I recommended installing v13.

It also seems that you need to install a keyboard from the Keyman website, not from the built-in Download keyboard feature.

@James_Post thank you for this research!

I suspect the issue here is that v13 had a bug with the version information so despite appearances it is actually version 13.0.

Hi James
First of all sorry for not replying before (here in Spain we had long holiday weekend)
You kindly tried it, and it works, good!, sounds perfect, so yes, as you recommended I’m going to try v13 + the keyboard from the Keyman website. Let’s see in my old Mac as well
Greetings
Olga
