Looking for a font that shows the direction of letter formation (with arrows) and the different strokes needed (with a number). I was told that LS manuscript was that font and that it was an SIL one. Not sure if either of this is valid. Any advice welcome…preferably about a licence free font!

That’s not a font of ours. It may have been distributed under the SIL Open Font License, but that doesn’t mean that we published it.
We are hoping to come out with a font family that does have what you want (arrows, numbers) but that’s months or years away.
