Very reluctantly, we’ve decided that it has gotten too expensive to continue to provide new versions of Bloom Reader to Android phones prior to Android 5 (Lollipop). Users of Android 4.4, or previously supported minimum, should continue to receive Bloom Reader 1.3. Once Bloom Reader 2.0, now in alpha, makes it out to release, then most people will be getting 2.0, but people with these old phones will be stuck with BR 1.3.
Already, the presentation of our books was starting to suffer on Android 4.4 phones, and in the future, new books may stop loading for them altogether. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
