Sometimes I have made a book in landscape format for a device, with the image on the left and the text on the right. Then I want to make an A5 portrait layout print version of it, where the image is at the top with the text below. I create a book in a different collection, using the device book as the template for it, and so then I want to move the image from the left to being on the top with the text underneath it. It would be nice if I could go into the ‘Change layout’ option and drag the image and text box into the locations that I want. It is a bit fiddly at the moment as I have to copy the text into Notepad, delete the existing text box, then add a new text box below the image and then copy the text back in from Notepad.
Hi Julie,
To create a portrait book from a landscape one, follow these steps:
- In the Bloom collection tab, duplicate the book
- Open the new book, change to “A5 Portrait”
- Click on one of the content pages.
- On the thumbnail of the page, right click and choose “Change Layout…”
- Choose the layout you want
- Click “Change all similar pages in this book to this layout.”
- Click “USE THIS LAYOUT”
If the book has more than one content layout, for example some are “Picture on the Left” while others are “Picture on the Right”, you’ll need to do this for one example of each.
