I am wondering if I can use SIL OFL fonts for digital downloads sold online? I’m pretty sure I can use them for plain printables, but I’m not so sure about editable printables. For example, I design a weekly meal planner with days of the week and other stuff, someone purchases it and they download the file. They can then can fill out the editable places with the meals for each day and print it out or just print and write the meals in. I’ve looked through the topics and I can’t find anything that answers this. I think it’s ok, but I don’t want to move forward without having confirmation. Thanks in advance.
Yes, you can use them. If the fonts you deliver with your printables can only be used with your printables, then that is similar to embedding, which is covered by the OFL-FAQ questions 1.11-1.16. Hope that helps!
