Can we instruct SayMore to use .m4a files as audio

I have a user who is learning how to use Saymore. A lot of his audio files were recorded as .m4a files. SayMore doesn’t see this as an Audio file. Mp3 works. But most of his files are not in .mp3 format.

I saw an earlier post from 2018 Sessions Not Finding .m4a (MPEG-4) Recording - SayMore - SIL Language Software Community where a user had similar problems.

Is it possible to instruct Saymore to recognize M4a as audio?

I will try to look into this today.

Update: this is moving forward. Needed changes have been accepted in FFMpegCore. When they publish a new version of that library, we can update SayMore to incorporate it.

This should be working now.
