Bug in Keyman Developer 11?

I’m having an issue in Keyman Developer 11 entering text for a longpress key.

I uploaded a video to show the issue: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eObO6j2bVhmLd6lki0hks3dYP5TkTck-/view?usp=sharing

Am I doing something wrong?

Yes that does look like two separate issues there:

  1. Paste is disabled when it should be enabled
  2. Double-clicking a character map entry inserts the character but the change isn’t saved.

I’ve documented these issues at https://github.com/keymanapp/keyman/issues/1718

A couple of possible workarounds to keep you going:

  1. Ctrl+V may well work to paste directly
  2. After double-clicking a character map entry, pressing space then backspace may be sufficient to tell Keyman Developer that the text field has been changed, so that it saves the changes.

FYI, Ctrl+V does not work to paste directly.

I’ll try the space, backspace thing.

The space, backspace thing did not work.

I uninstalled Keyman Developer 11 and installed 10 and it works for now.

Okay, thanks for the feedback. We’ll work on resolving the issue.

I’ve created a fix for this issue; it is now going through QA and will be made available as an update for Keyman Developer 11.

Build #1354, which I believe fixes this issue, should now be online at https://keyman.com/developer/download.php

When I ask Keyman Developer to check for updates, it does not find it. Is this to be expected? That I should manually download and install the new build?

It should be finding the update; I’ll look into it. I see the same problem here.

Fix in motion at https://github.com/keymanapp/api.keyman.com/pull/8

Keyman’s developers are working hard and quick to fix the issue.
