I successfully downloaded the Keyman app on my Mac but when I download the Yiddish keyboard, a blank document downloads to my download folder. Or at least I think it’s a blank document: it doesn’t seem to do anything: Yiddish is still not available in my language dropdown menu and when I try to open the Yiddish download, I am told there is no app for it. I’m frustrated. I have no trouble with Chinese or Hebrew though these are not from Keyman. Please advise.
07 PM|212x252 THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A SCREEN SHOT OF THE DOCUMENT THAT DOWNLOADED WHEN I HIT DOWNLOAD PASEKH KEYBOARD BUT IT FAILED.
I’m glade that you DIY successfully, but I’m surprised that you experienced this. It was a bug and we’ve fixed it a while back. I’m curious now as to what you did to get it to work. Could you mind briefly describe the steps you took?
Okay, so what I did was drag what I took to be a blank document into the
keyboard configuration window that I opened up from the Keyman menu and
voila! it took. Does that make sense? I’m not on my home computer so I
can’t retrace my stetps precisely at the moment. If you require more
detail, I will be able to reconstruct it more precisely when I get home. I
am very pleased to be able to type in Yiddish now.
