I switched in the last days to Windows 11 and now realize that I can’t type in keyboards that are not from Windows standard languages anymore. Would need some help in the Windows settings as well as probably in the keyman settings to make it work again.
Hello @Astrid,
Sorry that the keyboards aren’t working for you. Can you tell me in details of how you can’t type these keyboards? Are they not working on all applications? Which keyboards and Keyman version are you using?
Please make sure you have updated to the latest version of Keyman and Keyman is running on your computer.
Thanks!
Hello,
I think I need a remote session with someone. I have keyman 18.
Here are the problems:
- Windows shows only languages where it has language packages. But then
in another window “Spracheinstellungen (language configurations?)” it
shows me - occasionally only - what I should be able to use too, but I
am not able to use that. - Keyman is installed, but it disappears from the task bar every now and
then. If I create a shortcut and click that, it does not seem to work. - In Windows 10, all three keyboards that I can’t use now (IPA,
Urdu-based Burushaski from Sunny Quwatz, and Rachitrali keyboard, worked
both on my laptop, in FLEx, Paratext and on the web. - In Windows 11, I can’t get them to work even in a Word file. I also
can’t reinstall them, it seems.
Blessings
Astrid
Hi,
It seems like Keyman is not running properly on your Windows which unable you to use the keyboards. Do you still have Eset enable on your computer? Can you completely disable it and reinstall Keyman again?
Thanks!
