Can I split long audio files (wordlists, remove sentences) in SayMore involving less work than if I did it in audacity?
If by “split”, you mean create multiple, distinct audio files, no, SayMore will not enable you to do that. However, SayMore does allow you to “segment” audio files to analyze (record oral annotations and enter typed transcriptions and translations) individual segments. I think it would be relatively easy for SayMore to export the segmented audio as separate files, so if that is what you need, feel free to request that as a feature. It will help if you explain how that fits into your workflow. But, SayMore is only being minimally maintained at this time, so please understand that new feature work may not be prioritized very highly.
