S/R On hold

I did Synchronize and after a while I got a pop-up message saying something like: '…this is embarrassing … contact admin" (didn’t get to capturing full message). Now I see ‘On hold’ under Send/Receive button.

Hi Sargon, thanks for reporting the issue. It looks like it’s working now (says last synced 15hrs ago) and I’m not seeing an error in our status file. Are you still having trouble?

Yes, I deleted the project and re-loaded it again. I didn’t use LF to make updates, though a member of my team is making changes through it. The other team members are using FLEx. I did notice, though, that changes done through LF are synced automatically by the person updating it because when I was looking at LF on my end, I could see the changes made without syncing. However, when I S/R on FLEx, I didn’t see the changes. So, that’s when I tried to S/R on LF then do S/R on FLEx to see the changes made. It worked the first time, but I got the problem when I did it for second time, I.e. manually syncing on LF. So, not sure if this feature was always there in LF, I.e. auto-sync, or it’s something new. By the same token, does it mean the person using LF has to eventually sync manually to see changes made in FLEx? I didn’t try it yet, I just thought about it while I am responding to this post, though I will. But it’s good to know.

Hi Sargon,

Your observations are correct. LF users can see each other’s changes in LF almost immediately without doing a “sync”. This is expected behavior and is not new. The “Synchronize” option in LF should be relabeled “Sync with FLEx” since that’s what it does. Only after a LF user does a “Synchronize” will FLEx users be able to pick those changes up via Send/Receive.
