New release (v2.2.0): various UX improvements

Highlights of v2.2.0:

  • New user setting for enabling/disabling gloss spelling suggestions in Data Entry
  • More self-contained installer for offline deployment of The Combine:
    • The installer now contains most of the software to be installed; this makes for larger initial download but prevents download errors during installation
  • New CAPTCHA implementation that doesn’t make you click on pictures of bikes, crosswalks, stairs, …
  • Improved user interactions in various components:
    • Searching in the Semantic Domain Tree
    • Entering a new word in Data Entry
    • Viewing completed merges in Data Cleanup
    • Expanding/collapsing sections in Project Settings

There’s an issue with the deployment of the new CAPTCHA implementation, so currently login and signup are both impossible. We’re actively working to resolve this.

Problem fixed! If you get a “Page verification” error on the login or signup page, please clear your browser’s cache for thecombine.app and refresh the page. And feel free to reach out if you have any problems or questions.
