Ma'di Keyboard struggle

In the process of translating a booklet, The Story of Hope, I downloaded the Ma’di Keyboard (Uganda). For the most part, I was able to figure out using the tonal markings, but I am finding that when I combine a below dot and an upper acute accent, the acute accent slides to the side of the letter rather than appearing directly above the vowel. Is there anything I am missing or anything I can do about that?

Thanks for anyone’s input!

Welcome to the language software community. Can you provide some more details about your issue? What software are you using for editing? What font are you using? If you select the text (containing base character + dot below + acute accent above) and select another font (such as Charis SIL), is the display correct? Some fonts are not designed to handle multiple diacritics.

Dear David,

Thank you so much for your response. I tried your suggestion—and it worked!! When I changed the font to calibri from Helvetica Neue, the accent moved back over the vowel! Very helpful feedback!
