Lame for Audacity not needed for later versions to make talking books?

I’m running a BLOOM workshop soonish…
The downloads page of the bloom library says that Bloom versions earlier than 4.1 need “LAME for Audacity” in order to create the mp3 files that the e-book will use. So does that mean if we have a later version, I do not need to make sure they have Lame?

Yes that is correct!

From Bloom 4.1 onwards, LAME for Audacity is included within the Bloom installation:

From Bloom 4.1 release notes “Bloom now ships with the mp3 encoder (“LAME”), so you do not need to install that separately anymore in order to make talking books.”
