Keyman operation in Chrome

I recently had to buy a new laptop and I cannot get the Keyman keyboards to work in Chrome. I can change the keyboards to a Keyman keyboard in programs like Word, Libre Office, but when I change the to Chrome (without changing the keyboard), the English non-Keyman keyboard takes over.

I went to this page:

I did what was suggested there, trying it several times, and trying it while a colleague was watching me that I knew I did what it said. I restarted the laptop and restarted chrome but the Keyman still doesn’t work.

Is there a solution for this? My current version of Chrome is Version 137.0.7151.69 (Official Build) (arm64). I’m trying to help people from Tai communities in Northeast India to use their scripts on line and Keyman has been a very good choice of keyboard. Thank you for your help, apologies if I have not explained this clearly.

This is the key word here. We are currently working on arm64 support in Keyman 19. For now, I recommend using the x64 version of Chrome – it should work fine, but may be a littlemless efficient.

Thank you for explaining this. I’m sorry that I didn’t understand about these different versions - I will try to work out how to replace the arm64 with x64 version, but thank you

It’s all good – we are very keen to get ARM64 support going in Keyman, but it all takes time. I think the Chrome website offers the ARM64 installer by default on an ARM64 device; nothing to be sorry about!
