Help Neededǃ Mac OS Sonoma 14.4.1 and trouble with keyboard installation and functioning

I have worked a couple days trying to get sil_ipa (1).kmp functioning via keyman-18.0.235.dmg. I have tried multiple different approaches to downloading and installing as suggested in help materials via this support page.

Keyman seems to install fine. SIL_IPA.kmp seems to install and configure fine and is shone as being configured for Keyman in the keyboard drop down menu… but no IPA will come up in either Word or any other word processor. I do have Charis SIL and Doulos SIL fonts installed.

Any thoughts or ideas anyone…?

Thanks Mark, Docs & Folders did the trick. I of course had the Input Monitoring and Accessibility boxes checked but I hadn’t thought to do the same for Docs and Folders! I’ve been battling with this problem for weeks, thinking that the issue must be somewhere else! This may be of interest to you. I also run a Windows PC from my Mac keyboard and mouse (using Synergy from Seamless). Even though nothing had changed on the PC after updating MacOs to Sonoma, since I need to have the French keyboard…

I have all the three checked as well giving Keyman full access… still no IPA rendering…

Hi @kevinkopp,

When you say ‘no IPA rendering’ do you mean that when you type sequences such as a<, you don’t get the expected æ but rather just see a< in your document? Can you explain a bit more about what you are typing and what you are getting as an output?
