FYI: Play store rejected app based on privacy policy

This is a fyi to anyone who is uploading android apps to the Google play store (Android .apk files). When I uploaded the Kullilli dictionary last week, it was initially rejected because there was no privacy policy in the app itself. This was not a requirement in the apple store, and putting the privacy policy in the “about” page and resubmitting was enough to have the app approved. Looking at other examples of DAB-created play store apps, most of them don’t have privacy policies in the app, so this may be a recent change.

Thanks Claire, for the heads up. I personally wasn’t aware of this, but I think this is probably now on people’s radar.
Best, Ken
