You can create a non-Unicode keyboard for Kadu in Keyman. But first, you need to create PUA codepoints for all the characters. Please take a look at this thread.

That’s all the file I made by hiring a tech savvy person in Thailand. Currently, this Kadu language is facing the threat of disappearing from Burma, and we are doing our best to preserve it. I need a lot of help from those of you who understand the technology for the Kadu language, but I’m not Kadu people, I’m just a volunteer helping the underdeveloped languages of Burma with my own money for free. I was able to download the font and .kmx. The font doesn’t have an open license. Would you be able to convince the designer of the font to add an open license so that we can distribute it? I cannot tell from the font if you’ve just used a Mon font that someone else made or the origin of the font. It would be ideal if you created the font from scratch and release it under the Open Font License.
Otherwise, we would not be able to distribute your keyboard. Once that is resolved I could help create an experimental keyboard using private use codepoints.
The issue with getting the script supported in Unicode would be a separate issue. Probably getting a keyboard and font available will help you prove to Unicode that the script is being used. You can begin producing printed materials when you have a font and keyboard.

Hi @Into_Besa I looked at the Pyidaungsu font and it is licensed under the OFL license which is good. Do you still have contact with this person? It would be best if they could add the copyright information that was in Pyidaungsu back into the kadu2 font. It would also be useful if they put a note in the font that it is based on Pyidaungsu. That will give us a clear documentation of where the font is derived from.

Is the script written left to right or is it written right to left? (The keyboard was implemented as a right to left script which does not seem correct to me.)
In addition to the script direction (right to left or left to right?), can you tell me what the following two characters represent?

I changed the keyboard from right-to-left to make it left-to-right since that’s what it appeared that it should be. If that’s wrong we can update the keyboard. Anyway, others can begin using it.
