Control language of copyright statement

Is there a way to specify the language in which the copyright statement should appear?

I have a collection of books where Lang1 is [qaa] (unspecified, not in ISO639-3), Lang2 is [mg], and Lang3 is [fr]. Bloom “insists” on displaying the copyright notice in English, even though a localized French copyright string is available.

Apparently, this is a bug in Bloom caused by using the “qaa” tag.
It is trying to use the localized string from “qaa” which is the same as the English.

I will create a card to track this in our bug tracking system.

I thought you would be able to work around this by using the recommended tag “qaa-x-LanguageName” but that doesn’t work, either.

Thanks, Andrew. Since we’ve got the new Book Settings controls, would it be possible to build a way for the user to select one or more of the book’s languages for the copyright/license statement to appear in?

Feel free to add it as a feature request, but I would not think it would raise to the level of high priority very soon.
