• We are using Oral Translation for recording a back translation. But after that we would sometimes like to re-record the story, making some corrections, using Careful Speech. However, if there is already an oral translation file, we can’t do the careful speech unless we delete the oral translation. It is possible to go to the file location and rename that file, and keep it, but for many facilitators who are not very computer savvy that is quite difficult to do. And besides, it would be nice to have the original oral translation file also easily accessible still within the project.
I realize this is a very old post, but I just came across it, and since there was no answer, I wanted to point out that SayMore does support both translations and careful speech (both audio as well as transcriptions). If I’m missing the point of the question, please clarify if possible.
