I was looking at the beautiful new book: ‘La Cocina’ on bloomlibrary, when I noticed what low resolution these images had.
Currently, when you export a book for Bloom Reader, every image get resized to 600px wide. This results in really nice images when they fill half the page or less, but when full-screen images are used, this 600 px rule results in quite low-res images. This doesn’t show up all that much when looking at it on a phone, but when the book is displayed on a PC-screen on in our case on projectors in the classroom, this really shows.
Can we ask for a more complex exporting algorithm based on the width of the picture on the screen?
