Ability to publish a whole collection to Bloom Reader at once

We needed to move a collection of 63 books from Bloom Desktop into Bloom Reader App. The only way we could find to do it was to select each book one at a time and go to the publish tab and send it to the phone. That’s a bit tedious.

This ability would be helpful - not just for that many books but for anything more than a couple of books at a time.

One workaround I’ve used is to Publish/Save each as a file in the same location on the computer, then transfer them all to the phone or SD card at the same time.

But you’d still need to open each of the 63 books and Publish them individually.

Yes please! It would be a great time saver for our team!

While it is still experimental, you might give this a try

This is one of those “if you give a mouse a cookie” problems. If you’re doing something long for 63 books and something goes wrong for half of them (e.g. Bloom detects a font is in use that cannot be freely published), well now we’re going to want to be able to only re-run those ones after fixing them.

There may be a way to do this through integration with the Bloom Library, which already automatically makes Bloom Reader files (and epubs) when you upload a book. So if we first made it easy to batch-upload books, then we could just add a batch-download of Bloom Reader files.

This has shipped in Bloom 5.1 beta.
